This week, Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Owen Paterson MP supported Annesley’s campaign in Hazel Grove. He addressed local supporters at the High Lane Conservative Club. Owen said, ”Hazel Grove was a Conservative seat until 1997 and there is every chance we can win it back at the forthcoming General Election.”

After his lunch at High Lane, Prospective MP, Annesley Abercorn took him to the Allied Bakeries Factory in Bredbury for a tour where they make Kingsmill Bread.

Annesley Abercorn said,

“I am delighted to welcome Owen Paterson to Hazel Grove. He will make an outstanding Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. He works so hard in his Shadow role by going to Belfast every week. He has made so many connections and alliances in Northern Ireland resulting in the first Conservative Party representative there since 1918. I am grateful to him for speaking to our supporters and learning about the fascinating workings of the Kingsmill Bread Factory which I am proud to say is within the Hazel Grove constituency. I am particularly thankful for the fresh bread they gave us straight off the production line which was incredibly soft and tasty!”.
