Annesley Abercorn Takes Part In The Hazel Grove Carnival And Crowns The Carnival Queens
Last weekend, Prospective Conservative MP for Hazel Grove took part in the Hazel Grove Carnival with his big red double decker ‘Routemaster’ Bus which paraded through the streets of Hazel Grove. Annesley’s bus was popular with local people. A lot of them were waving at Annesley as he was hanging off the open rear platform vehicle as it paraded slowly down the A6. Annesley said, ”Regardless of people’s political viewpoint, loads of residents enjoyed seeing my Routemaster go down the streets of Hazel Grove. The bus always brings a smile to people’s faces – young and old because it is just such a distinctive British icon like Big Ben or the old red telephone box.”
Annesley said,”The Hazel Grove Carnival is a great example of the local community pulling together to put on such a fantastic event. I thoroughly enjoyed it and met lots of people who put a lot of effort into making the day a huge success.” Annesley later crowned the Hazel Grove Carnival Queens; he paid tribute to the Carnival Queens ‘who did Hazel Grove proud with such elegance and grace’ and the organisers for their .
hard work and commitment. Annesley added, ”I was glad that Hazel Grove Conservatives could give a small contribution to a wonderful day.”
